Regional Human Resources Manager - Multi-site experience preferred!
Ideal candidate will reside in California.
The Regional HR Manager works closely with Executive Directors of up to 20 communities across California to cultivate a positive, productive working environment in all communities, assisting with the timely resolution of escalated employee relations issues and supporting the overall function of the Human Resources department.
Salary range: $85k-$100k
Essential Job Functions:
- Consults with home office and community management team members to provide guidance on day-to-day business and employee matters, providing an interpretation of company policy as needed.
- Conducts effective, thorough, and timely investigations and/or guides community leadership in performing the same; provides guidance on and assists in the resolution of complex employee relations issues.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to community leaders, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Analyzes emerging trends across the organization to guide the development of training programs or new policies to assist the workforce.
- Oversees leave of absence process in close connection with HR Generalist.
- Collaborates with department and cross-functionally to manage projects to implementation (e.g. Open Enrollment, annual wage review, employee surveys, etc.), and participates in company initiatives.
- Serves as HRIS expert, working closely with system vendor(s) to troubleshoot issues, generate new reports as requested by management, and create new workflows and efficiencies as needed.
- Identifies and recommends updates to relevant software, systems, and procedures; serves as Administrator of applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring application processing and onboarding occur as required.
- Maintains in-depth and current knowledge of federal and state legal requirements, ensuring compliance and reducing legal risk; partners with Payroll, Risk Management, and Legal Services as needed to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Travels periodically to support community events, provide leadership in escalated employee matters, attend conferences or training, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Senior Living Experience preferred
- Must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field highly desired.
- A minimum of six years’ experience in a Generalist capacity, with a strong background in acquisition experience and employee relations, in fast-growing, multi-site companies; supervisory experience strongly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels across the company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively depending upon circumstances.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, etc.:
- Proficiency in ADP/WorkforceNow. Paylocity or other HRIS required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- HR certification such as SHRM-SCP is highly desired.
